Tofu cat litter, such as Cat Litter Prince of Qatar, is made entirely from natural plant-based ingredients. The main components are: • Soy pulp / soy fibers: a byproduct of the food industry, biodegradable and environmentally friendly. • Plant-based binders: ensure that the litter clumps well when it comes into contact with moisture.

Tofu cat litter is made from plant-based soy fibers, a renewable raw material from the food industry. Unlike clay and bentonite, which are obtained through mining, tofu litter is biodegradable, low in dust, and environmentally friendly. Thanks to its strong clumping ability, soft texture, and natural odor control, it is a healthy and practical alternative. That is why more and more cat owners in Belgium, the Netherlands, and the rest of Europe choose tofu cat litter as a sustainable replacement for clay and bentonite.

Fill the litter box with a layer of about 5–7 cm of tofu cat litter so that the granules can clump properly and control odors effectively. In households with multiple cats, a slightly thicker layer may be needed to better absorb moisture and keep odors neutralized. Remove clumps and solid waste daily and add fresh litter as needed. For optimal hygiene, it is recommended to completely replace the litter regularly.

Tofu cat litter is safe for kittens. It is made from natural soybeans and contains no toxic substances like some chemical or scented clumping cat litters. Because it is biodegradable and low in dust, it is gentle on kittens’ sensitive respiratory systems.

Cats are naturally creatures of habit, so a gradual transition works best. Start by mixing a small amount of tofu cat litter with the clay, and gradually increase it over 7–10 days until the box contains only tofu litter. Tips: • Keep the litter box in the same familiar location. • Watch your cat’s behavior; some cats need a little extra time to get used to the new smell and texture. • Refresh the litter regularly to maintain a fresh and appealing environment. Using this gradual method makes the transition feel natural and helps minimize stress for your cat.

In some automatic litter boxes, our Cat Litter Prince of Qatar works excellently, while in others it may be less suitable. Nowadays, there are so many brands and models that it can sometimes be difficult to keep track. Feedback from our customers shows that our litter works well in models such as: Petree, Revo‑Loo, and WOP. Unfortunately, it does not work in the Litter‑Robot. Our tofu cat litter granules have a diameter of approximately 2 mm. Tip: also consult the supplier of your automatic litter box for the recommended granule type.

Although Cat Litter Prince of Qatar is made from 100% natural, biodegradable, and water-soluble soy fibers, we do not recommend flushing used cat litter down the toilet. This applies not only to our tofu cat litter but to all types of biodegradable litter. The reason is not the litter itself, but the cat feces, which can contain pathogens such as Salmonella and other bacteria that wastewater treatment plants cannot fully remove. That is why sewage operators in Belgium, the Netherlands, and the rest of Europe enforce strict rules and assume a worst-case scenario. The safest and recommended solution is to dispose of used cat litter with household waste, following local waste regulations. This keeps it safe for yourself, your cat, and the environment.

Used biodegradable cat litter, such as tofu cat litter, may not be disposed of in the GFT (organic waste) in Belgium, the Netherlands, or Europe. Always throw it in the general household waste and always check the local waste regulations of your municipality.
